Synchronised swimming first began in Dorset in the 1970s and today there are now around 100 swimmers involved in the sport. The AquaFun Programme which is designed to encourage children to learn the basics of synchronised swimming while having fun and building confidence in the water is also offered at leisure centres throughout the County.
